Frustrating Trading Day, I Suppose?


Many expected the market at least to move upwards sikitlah. But No............ It gostan some more losing 0.8 points to 1380.73. So much for Morgan Stanley upgrade of Bursa Malaysia.

Volume traded is thin, a classic indicator of the wait and see attitude among investors. Volume about 26.2 million traded by 10 am with value estimated at 133 million ringgit. Sellers dominate the market with 314 downs to 245 ups.

Gainers included the much touted Muhibbah Engineering which added 30 sen; Tenaga which upped 20 sen and BAT which gained RM1.25. Losers were Delloyd,Taliworks and Eon Cap.

Looking at the portfolio, only Resorts added 6 sen to RM4.02 on heavy volume of 4.5 million shares. Genting was quiet as a mouse in spite of market rumour that it will shoot to the moon. It lost 5 sen to RM8.45. There was one big block of shares done. The others were just retailers dragging down the price to bargain-hunt. BJ Toto also lost 5 sen.

KPS and RCE both lost a sen again while JAKS, Metronic and AMDB all lost 0.5 sen each. Welli lost two sen.
