KPS and the Langat 2 Project

KPS and its potential involvement in the water transfer project brought interest into the counter lately. The news was in THE STAR today. KPS will likely get the Langat 2 Water Treatment Plant as it is the state government's vehicle involved in the water project. The project will be tendered in the second half of 2007. There was some heavy buying but the counter ended at its overnight level of RM1.51. Volume was high at 67 million shares. RCE also perked up 2.5 sen to 96.5 sen on sustained volume buying of 23 million shares. It touched an intra-day high of RM1.01 before succumbing to selling pressure.

The rest of the tracked stocks ended dull and uneventful. Resorts and BJ Toto added 6 sen each to RM3.24 and RM4.78 each. Metronic upped 0.5 sen and Genting was 5 sen better. Composite Index ended up 3.5 points to 1,360.65
